PRESS RELEASE: Cocoatech releases Path Finder 7

San Francisco, California – Cocoatech today is thrilled to announce the release of Path Finder 7, another version of Path Finder which brings many new features, performance enhancements, and interface updates. Path Finder allows developers, writers, artists, and casual users alike to manage their files according to their own tastes, needs, and workflow.

Path Finder 7 had been under development since September 2013. The full list of features/bug fixes are extensive, and show the level quality development that goes into the app. Also new to Path Finder 7 is the logo, as well as the re-branded slogan, “Stay Organized” which turned into a hash-tagged social media hit leading up to Path Finder 7’s release.

Danny Saad, Managing Partner and CFO at Cocoatech, stated “I wanted to keep it simple. Path Finder simply keeps you organized. PRESS RELEASE: Cocoatech announces Path Finder 7 release date

San Francisco, California – Cocoatech has announced the release date of Path Finder 7 for OS X- September 2nd, 2014. Pre-orders are available now on Cocoatech’s website, and include a free copy of the current Path Finder 6.

In development since mid 2013, Path Finder 7 has been a much anticipated release, with Cocoatech adding a bevy of new, beefy features that add to Path Finder’s already impressive arsenal.

Two of the most user requested features- Dropbox support and folder synchronization, are addressed in the new version, with Cocoatech adding full Dropbox integration and going above and beyond with their new “FolderSync” engine.

But that’s not all Path Finder 7 has in store.

Managing Partner and CFO Danny Saad said, “We hope to have a full list out soon, but Path Finder 7 has a ton new features, as well as improvements to current features. We wanted to improve further on what PF6 currently does, as well as add new features that users are requesting, and I think we’ve done all that and more with PF7. There are also bug fixes, UI refreshments and minor tweaks that are subtle, but improve the overall experience of the app.”

Referring to a new icon, Saad said, “Yeah, we’re working on that now actually. We’ll roll it out a few weeks before Path Finder 7’s release.

Saad also noted Path Finder 7 will be fully compatible with the upcoming 10.10 Yosemite.

Cocoatech releases 6.0.9 for OS X Snow Leopard and 6.3 for OS X Lion and above

Cocoatech has announced the release of Path Finder 6.0.9 for OS X 10.6, and 6.3 for OS X 10.7 and above, available as a free update to all licensed users. This update can be downloaded by clicking “Check for Updates” in the Path Finder menu.

Danny Saad, Cocoatech’s Marketing and Sales Director, said, “Our Snow Leopard update encompasses the past few iterations of the Lion/Mt.Lion versions, which implements all the cool new features and bug fixes that have been prevalent in the other version for quite a while now. The 6.3 update is minor compared to the SL update, but continues to show that we’re dedicated to constantly improve Path Finder through the feedback and suggestions of our users.”

PRESS RELEASE: Version 6.2 is now live!

San Francisco, California – Cocoatech has announced the release of Path Finder 6.2 for OS X, available as a free update to all licensed users. This update can be downloaded by clicking “Check for Updates” in the Path Finder menu. Version 6.2 is one of Cocoatech’s biggest free updates, packing a multitude of additions, functionality changes, and bug fixes.

“This iteration of Path Finder brings very requested features and improvements, as well as many fixes,” said Dragan Millić, Path Finder’s lead developer. “I’m particularly fond of the redesigned ‘Connect to Server’ window. Being able to set the default view type for new windows and tabs is also something I find very useful for myself, and I’m sure other users will as well.”
